We can help modify an existing PLC control system to meet ever changing business

We can help you diagnose faults in the system when your HMI/SCADA application is
just not giving you enough information by looking at what is going on inside the
PLC. This can be especially helpful if you do not have any PLC trained engineers
on your maintenance staff.
We can also help to diagnose communication faults either between PLC's or between
a PLC and your SCADA or top end computer system. Over the years we have found
that many IT departments simply have no idea what a PLC is and what communications
protocols they use, this can often lead to a problem being disowned by the engineering
staff and the IT staff. We understand both PLC systems and modern IT systems
and can normally determine what is causing the problem.
We can also develop custom PC software to interact with a PLC to download new recipe
information or sort tables. This might be to consolidate many manual processes
in to one simple task, or it might be to embed company knowledge or calculations
into a system where it is not easy to discover or steal the calculation as is possible
with Microsoft Excel based solutions.
Automated Machine Builders/Manufacturers
We can offer Machine Builders a cost effective service to develop a PLC control
system using an appropriately sized PLC. We have used many field bus technologies
such as Profibus, ASI and DeviceNet to help get the correct balance of cost and
features.
As well as developing a PLC control system we can design a custom HMI, using a standard
SCADA package such Wonderware, iFix or Siemens WinCC. If your requirements
do not require a full SCADA application or the licensing costs are just to high
we can also develop for many of the leading Operator Interface panels such as the
Telemechanique Magelis range or the Siemens TP range.
If your needs are a little bit more demanding we can develop a custom application
integrating your HMI needs and maybe some communications task with some top end
computer system or ERP system. This approach can drastically reduce the licensing
costs on a per unit basis and offer a lot more flexibility. Please see our

PLC Systems Integrators
Most Systems Integrators are happy to develop their own PLC software on a project
by project basis, but this does not mean that we have nothing to offer, in fact
quite the opposite is true!
For most Systems Integrators it is hard to find the right balance between workload
and staff levels. It is also very difficult in some areas to employ staff
with good solid PLC programming experience with the ability to create a program
from scratch We can offer an overflow capacity to your normal
staff when your workload exceeds your staffing levels. We are happy to take
on the software for a full project or just develop specific parts, it your choice.
We will work with your existing software library so that the code we develop will
match your normal style, or we can develop new software completely from scratch.
Depending on your needs we are happy to provide a quote for any work, or we can
work on an hourly rate, again its your choice.
